If that were the case, we'd have a policy that would be geared towards domestic renewable energy production creating jobs, reducing trade deficits, growing the economy, and reducing our adverse effects on the environment at the same time.

Unfortunately we have people involved in the process that obfuscate the science. They write rants like that of this blog, and demand national policy that leads to dependance upon energy from unstable third world countries and are directly responsible for the deaths caused by wars like the one in Iraq that are fought over control of oil resources.

Let the scientists debate the extent to which we are harming the environment. Keep the politicians and idealogues out.

And, I hate to say this, keep the religious community out of that debate as well. The efforts to fight evolution has led to a general widespread anti-science stance that has removed common sense from the debate. It is not necessary to slam science to prove the faith. God created science just like everything else, and it also is part of His literal and true record. God created the universe with His Word, and anti-science rants, in my view, are also anti-God rants.whomisgracehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05658677238126266384noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2453041727556473700.post-7506786950339116682009-07-08T05:32:40.902-04:002009-07-08T05:32:40.902-04:00Preach the Gospel brother. They are like a sweet, white carrot.

I love them with roasts.
I love them sliced thick and fried in butter, with some honey, chopped parsley, and grated orange rind. I get thankful when I eat them.

But in my garden, when I plant parsnips, the seeds go deep. It will be forever before they arise above ground as a top in green, for the real parsnip is growing deep, in darkness and cold.

I plant radishes above my parsnips. Radishes are more proplific than rabbits. They grow in days, and keep coming on.
I do not particulatly like radishes, though occasionally I will slice some thinly as decorative in a salad...to be pushed aside.

But when I pull the radishes from the ground, it breaks up the soil ABOVE my favored parsnips below. Without that brokeness, my parsnips would find that they have been underground so long, the soil above is a rock, and they cannot break through.

It is worth the wait for a parsnip and they last well into wintertimes of my life. I simply stake the area in the fall when everything is gone, and push away snow to get them as needed for dinner. The coldest of cold, makes them sweeter and sweeter.

Without the brokeness of a dreaded radish, I would never savor a garden parsnip.

Your verse from the Bible says everything has been done for you by Him.
Rest in faith.

You do not have to do anything. Your value exists as you are; above grown and broken. You do not have to change, and you exhaust yourself with the thought of change.

Simply abide.
HIS job,...is the growing part. In the end, what you seek will be there in abundance (especially if it is a parsnip!).Danny Lucashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01731548467946648156noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2453041727556473700.post-81621341343892095012009-06-17T18:38:47.466-04:002009-06-17T18:38:47.466-04:00i'd seen the charlie bit my finger one, but th...i'd seen the charlie bit my finger one, but the david after the dentist is totally new. thank you so much for posting it. It was the same people, the same hatred, the same complaints. As Ron suggested, the things these people are complaining about are things that Bush brought upon us.

It is not a grassroots, widespread movement. Look at the pictures - from Fox News if you like. This is a small group of very white, angry people. Nothing close to a cross section of the country.

By the way, more people were at the anti-war rally in NYC in 2003 than were in all of these events combined, even after all of the press given to them by Fox. Obama, socialism, bailouts, taxes, pork, peace, constitution protection, big government (the people with the last three signs were a year too late). You name the right-wing buzz word, and there was a sign for it.

Maybe next year Fox news can do a better job of promoting the rally so everyone is on the same page.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2453041727556473700.post-52586987836207361432009-04-16T13:22:00.000-04:002009-04-16T13:22:00.000-04:00Yeah, so, why weren't you all up in arms when our ...Yeah, so, why weren't you all up in arms when our federal deficit more than DOUBLED under George Bush?
